Royal Blood Return With 'Ten Over Ten' and A New Record

Brighton’s premier noise-makers are back to reclaim their throne at the forefront of the UK guitar revival. After taking time away from the spotlight following their 2023 release, Royal Blood have roared back into view with a fierce new single, ‘Ten Over Ten’, alongside the announcement of their fifth studio LP, 'Dead Company', arriving 13th November via Warner Records.

Since bursting onto the scene 12 years ago with one of the fastest-selling rock debuts of the century, Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher have proved themselves an unstoppable force. With four consecutive UK Number One albums and over a million records sold, the duo transformed simple bass-and-drum mechanics into an arena-headlining titan.

For 'Dead Company', however, the pair deliberately hit reset. Entering the studio in 2025 without self-imposed deadlines or outside interference, the self-produced ten-track effort focuses purely on raw human energy—testing the limits of what two musicians can pull out of twelve simple notes.

“After putting the Royal Blood engine in neutral for a couple of years, we've been building up the revs and are playing faster and harder than ever with this album,” the band explained. “Written and recorded with the stage in mind, we cannot wait to play it live for years to come.”

That relentless mentality bleeds directly into the lead cut ‘Ten Over Ten’. A monstrous fusion of scorched desert rock and Motörhead-esque momentum, the track was born out of Kerr’s real-world marathon training, channelling physical endurance, grit, and the instinct to test human limits. Driven by walloping, overdrive-drenched bass hooks and thunderous, whiplash-inducing rhythms, it serves as an uncompromising statement of intent.

Visualising these tracks on massive festival stages isn't difficult; 'Dead Company' feels designed to be turned up until the speakers give out. Royal Blood are back—louder, sharper, and hungrier than ever before.

Stream ‘Ten Over Ten’ on all major platforms now, pre-order 'Dead Company' today, and keep up with the band across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for upcoming live dates.
