Few indie outfits have ever straddled the boundary between brilliance and total structural collapse quite like Babyshambles. Formed in London back in 2003 during Peter Doherty’s first hiatus from The Libertines, the quartet forged a reputation on razor-sharp songwriting wrapped in beautiful, ramshackle noise. Now, following an eleven-year absence from the road, the line-up of Doherty, guitarist Mick Whitnall, bassist Drew McConnell, and drummer Adam Ficek are documenting their triumphant return to the stage.
'Live At Koko', landing on 9th October via Strap Originals, preserves the final, explosive night of their sold-out 2025 UK reunion tour. Recorded inside Camden’s ornate Victorian venue last December, the album documents a band operating at their absolute peak—fusing punk-edged energy, folk subtleties, and Doherty’s signature poet-troubadour charm.
Ahead of the full release, fans can sample the manic atmosphere via a live four-track EP featuring the set’s opening salvo: ‘Killamangiro’, ‘Delivery’, ‘I Wish’, and ‘Sedative’. Accompanying the EP is a fresh visual cut for ‘Delivery’, stitched together by long-time visual collaborator Roger Sargent.
Owing to vinyl length limits, the physical CD and digital formats pack four extra tracks omitted from the wax pressing: ‘La Belle et la Bête’, ‘Lost Art Of Murder’, plus emotional guest spots on ‘What Katie Did’ (featuring Libertines bandmate Carl Barat) and ‘Wolfman’ (featuring original drummer Gemma Clarke).
Fresh off a packed summer across European festival grounds, the group aren't slowing down. August sees them headline Margate Dreamland on the Bank Holiday weekend, tackle three Irish dates, and join The Streets for a pair of high-octane shows.
Stream the new teaser EP and pre-order 'Live At Koko' on digital, CD, or limited-edition coloured vinyl now via the band's website. Don't forget to follow the band on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X for upcoming tour updates and exclusive behind-the-scenes clips.
