Tower View on the Raw Emotion and Evolution In His New Single

If you have been keeping an ear to the ground of the UK alternative scene, you will know that Tower View is a name gaining serious momentum. The project is the creative culmination of years spent navigating various bands and genres, finally landing on a sound that feels both nostalgic and vital. With a debut EP slated for early 2026, Tower View is carving out a space defined by short, sharp songwriting and an unapologetic lean into the heavier side of rock and post-hardcore.

His latest single, ‘Welcome to the Club’, serves as a focal point for this new era. Joining previous tracks like ‘Collapse’ and ‘Blood In My Lungs’, the song captures a specific kind of modern disillusionment, wrapped in the high-energy grit of the MySpace-era influences that shaped him. We sat down with the man behind the moniker to discuss his journey from a twelve-year-old drummer to a solo force, the realities of the dating world that inspired the new track, and what the future holds for this rising artist.

Great to chat with you today! Thanks for taking the time out from your music. Looking back, when did you first start making music? Where did it all begin, and what inspired you?

“I started making music properly at 12 after being pulled out of a school lesson for my first drumming session. That moment flipped a switch for me. From there it quickly became an obsession—practicing constantly, joining bands, and wanting to understand how songs were made rather than just how to play them. The inspiration early on was simply energy. Music felt like somewhere I could put everything I didn’t know how to say.”

Can you tell us a bit about your latest release, ‘Welcome to the Club’, and what it means to you?

“it’s a song about dating and was written after a moment where expectation and reality quietly fell apart. What seemed like the start of something became a lesson in mixed signals. The "club" represents that quiet decision people make when they stop waiting or wanting answers and they choose themselves instead. It’s about recognising when to walk away in person and online, even if it’s uncomfortable.”

Are there any artists, moments, or experiences that influenced you when writing this release?

“A lot of the influence came from personal experiences rather than specific artists. That said, growing up during the MySpace era of rock definitely shaped my tastes, and I still draw inspiration from bands like Underoath, Alexisonfire, and early Bring Me The Horizon. Their energy, emotion, and rawness showed me how music could carry both intensity and honesty—something I try to bring into my own music.”

What was your songwriting process for the release? How did it all come together?

“The track came together quite instinctively. It started with a rough idea and an energy I didn’t want to overthink. I tend to build around feel first, then strip things back rather than add more. Lyrically, it was written quickly, which helped keep it honest. Once everything clicked, I focused on keeping it tight and direct rather than overworking it.”

How would you describe the sound of your latest work? Has there been a change or evolution in style since you first began?

“The sound is heavy, sharp, and emotionally driven. Compared to when I first started, there’s definitely been an evolution—not just musically, but in confidence in how I want to express myself.”

Is there a central message or theme you were trying to convey with "Welcome to the Club"?

“The central theme of ‘Welcome to the Club’ is recognising when something isn’t quite for you and letting go completely. It’s okay if things don’t work out; it’s okay for either party to walk away.

Looking ahead, what are your aspirations as an artist? Where do you see yourself in the next few years?

“Musically, I want to continue refining Tower View’s sound—keeping it raw, direct, and emotionally honest while exploring new ways to write and perform. I’d like to release the debut EP, which should come out early 2026.”

What is next on the horizon? Do you have any new releases or live shows coming up?

“The next step is completing and releasing the full debut EP in early 2026, which includes ‘Welcome to the Club’, ‘Blood In My Lungs’, and ‘Collapse’. After that, I’m looking at live shows once the EP is out, so I can bring these songs to an audience in a more immediate and visceral way. Beyond that, I’m always writing and exploring new ideas, so there will definitely be more music coming after the EP.”

Is there anything you would like to say to the audience? How can they connect with you and help support you?

“I’d just say thank you for listening and for taking the time to connect with my music. Supporting independent artists really makes a difference, whether that’s streaming or sharing tracks. You can find me on Spotify, Instagram, and YouTube under the name Tower View, which are the best places to follow what’s coming next and stay connected.”

With a clear vision and a heavy-hitting debut EP just around the corner, Tower View is proving that the spirit of post-hardcore is alive and well in the UK. By stripping back the noise and focusing on raw, honest delivery, he is creating music that resonates with anyone who has ever had to choose themselves over a difficult situation. Keep an eye out for his full EP in early 2026—it promises to be a powerful introduction to an artist who is only just getting started.
