Following a whirlwind twelve months defined by sold-out global tours and stadium-sized slots, Auckland-born brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley are officially back. Released via Atlantic Records, ARRO Records, and Warner Australia, Balu Brigada’s latest single 'BedHead' signals a compelling next chapter for the alt-pop outfit.
The fresh release marks the duo's first piece of new music since their standout 2025 debut LP, 'Portal'. That record proved to be a genuine breakthrough, racking up over 328 million streams globally and earning the pair spots on SiriusXM’s "Future Five" alongside Amazon Music’s "Breakthrough: Artists To Watch" lists. Driven by the success of chart-topping alternative anthem 'So Cold'—which featured on the EA Sports FC 25 soundtrack and swept through viral playlists—the brothers spent the last year winning over packed crowds, from headline dates at New York’s Webster Hall to massive festival sets at Lollapalooza and Outside Lands.
'BedHead' shifts into a slightly more introspective gear. The track wraps their signature groove-pop soundscapes in hazy, atmospheric production, using elastic basslines and crisp beats to balance emotional fatigue with effortless swagger. It arrives with an accompanying visualiser on YouTube that mirrors the song's reflective mood.
"'BedHead' is about trading sleep for a dream," explain the Beasley brothers. "It’s being aware of all the hurts and heartaches that inevitably come from pursuing a passion project, and deciding it’s worth doing anyway. Written after the busiest year of our lives, 'BedHead' bittersweetly details the sacrifices we make to relationships, sleep, and home life, and comes to the conclusion that we wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m g-g-g-good with that."
With an extensive touring run lined up—including North American arena dates alongside sombr, plus festival appearances at Austin City Limits and Corona Capital—the duo show no signs of slowing their momentum.
You can stream 'BedHead' on all major digital platforms now, watch the official video on YouTube, and keep up with Balu Brigada's latest tour dates across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X.
