Released via Atlantic Records, the new tracks arrive alongside striking visualisers directed by Matthew Dillon Cohen. For fans who spent last year with the top 5 hit ‘Love Me Not’ on repeat, these releases signal a pivot towards more emotive, atmospheric pop ballads.
‘Reputation’, co-written with Fike and executive produced by the GRAMMY-winning heavyweight Dahi, is a masterclass in tension. The track explores the messy reality of a romance that has reached its expiry date, even if the participants are too hesitant to say it aloud.
It plays out like a fractured dialogue between lovers stuck in a holding pattern. In contrast, ‘Bobby’ turns the lens inward. It’s a raw internal monologue where Lenae grapples with the urge to save the relationship versus the necessity of walking away. Throughout both, her "dexterous lyricism" and "delicate voice" remain her greatest weapons, effortlessly capturing the "slow deterioration" of love.
This new music follows a streak of high-profile wins.
