Masked, secretive, and utterly relentless, UK-based collective PRESIDENT have officially unveiled their highly anticipated debut album, 'Blood Of Your Empire', out now via Atlantic Records. Fusing crushing metalcore riffs with soaring synthwave textures and industrial electronics, the ten-track record marks a massive step forward for a group that has quickly racked up millions of streams whilst refusing to play by traditional genre rules.
The release lands on the exact same day the band kicks off their sold-out, maiden headline tour across North America. Having already built a massive live reputation supporting Bad Omens on US shores earlier this year, PRESIDENT are taking their enigmatic, theatrical stage production to packed venues in Chicago, New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, and beyond. The autumn run launches tonight at Nashville's Brooklyn Bowl, featuring support from Showing Teeth on selected dates, before culminating at the Dallas House of Blues on 14th October.
Visually anchored by Eugène Delacroix's iconic Louvre painting 'The Battle of Poitiers', 'Blood Of Your Empire' digs deep into weightier, existential themes. Rather than hiding behind their anonymous imagery, the group's frontperson uses the record to dissect complex personal and historical conflicts.
"'Blood Of Your Empire' was born out of my own struggle with existential crisis and trying to make sense of belief, mortality, and humanity's relationship with faith," PRESIDENT says. "Religion has inspired incredible compassion, purpose, and beauty in the world — but it has also been responsible for unimaginable suffering and bloodshed throughout history. This album lives in the tension between those two truths. Writing it became a way for me to confront the fear, confusion, and questions I've carried for years, and turn them into something I'm truly proud of."
