Melbourne’s Alt-Rockers Ignite with The Visceral ‘resist’

The neon-soaked energy of Melbourne’s pop-punk scene has a fresh shadow looming over it. Just months after kicking off 2026 with the frantic, hook-heavy ‘discontent’, All Regards have pivoted towards something considerably more visceral. Their latest offering, ‘resist’, trades in some of the sunshine for a jagged, alt-rock edge that feels like a natural evolution for a band previously known for their brighter melodies.

While ‘discontent’ served as a quintessential pop-punk anthem, ‘resist’ sees co-vocalist Jeremy Allen take a firmer grip on the reins. The track is weighted with a brooding intensity, ditching polished tropes for a darker sonic palette. This shift isn't accidental; the two singles function as a thematic dialogue between the band's dual frontmen.

“I wrote the lyrics for ‘resist’ as a direct response to the lyrics Stefan wrote for ‘discontent’ in which he wrote about the state of the world from his perspective,” Allen explains. “It inspired me to do the same which is why both singles are so intrinsically linked together. ‘resist’ for the most part, is an honest take on how frustrated one can become with external and internal factors within the world, and that it may not be the picture perfect life planned out for one’s self. It’s also a call to arms that if there is something you want to change to better yourself and you have the power to do it, quit complaining and fight the good fight to turn things around.”

Working alongside producer Jack Newlyn—whose credits include heavyweights like Between You & Me and Belle Haven—the band has refined their technical delivery. The drums are punchier, the riffs carry more weight, and the vocal interplay between Allen and Stefan Sepulveda feels more urgent than ever. Sepulveda notes that the dual releases reflect a wider emotional spectrum, stating, “there's a real call to action to get out and create positive change in whatever ways you can.”

Having already built a reputation for high-octane live performances at venues like the Bergy Bandroom, the quintet is ready to bring this new era to the stage. They are set to celebrate the release of both singles with a double launch show at Melbourne’s Workers Club on March 27.

You can find ‘resist’ on all major streaming platforms now. Be sure to follow All Regards on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, to stay updated on tour dates and future releases.
