Dylan Wright Shares New Single ‘Those Nights’ and Australian Tour

It is a big week for fans of heart-on-sleeve storytelling. Fresh off a whirlwind year that has seen him go from a household name to a decorated award winner, Dylan Wright has returned to the spotlight with his most evocative work yet. His latest single, ‘Those Nights’, dropped on Friday, bringing with it a warm, golden-hued wave of nostalgia that feels like a perfect soundtrack for the late-summer air.

The track is a masterclass in modern country-pop, anchored by Wright’s signature soaring vocals. While his previous releases explored the excitement of new beginnings, ‘Those Nights’ looks firmly in the rearview mirror. It serves as a gentle, rhythmic ode to the simplicity of youth—the kind of song that makes you want to call an old friend just to say you remember.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Dylan shares: “I wrote ‘Those Nights’ from missing a time when everything felt simpler, when we were living our best moments without knowing they were already slipping away.”

This sentiment is woven throughout the lyrics, particularly in the yearning chorus: “I wanna go back to when we were wild and free / And we didn’t know what the future would make us be.” A visualiser for the track is also in the works, promising to bring these teenage memories to life on screen in the coming weeks.

The release marks the culmination of a truly massive twelve months for the Northern Rivers artist. Between supporting icons like Tina Arena, hitting the road with Busby Marou, and performing as far afield as Nashville and Europe, Wright has barely stopped to catch his breath. His hard work was recently solidified at the Golden Guitar Awards, where he picked up Bluegrass Recording of the Year with his band, Sons of Atticus.

However, the best way to experience Wright’s music has always been in person. To celebrate the new era, he has announced the 'Songs & Stories' tour—a sprawling 21-date run across Australia starting 8 May. Designed to be an intimate look at the experiences that shaped him, the tour will feature new material alongside the classics that fans have come to love.

Tickets for the tour are on sale now; head over to Dylan's website to grab yours before they vanish. For more from Dylan, join him on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
