Melbourne garage-punk quintet Delivery are back to claim their spot as one of Australia’s most relentless outfits, unveiling details for their anticipated third studio album, 'Zone 3', arriving 26th February 2027 via Heavenly Recordings.
Alongside the news, the band dropped its lead single, ‘Measuring Cup’, a spiky, wired-out post-punk anthem packed with rhythmic drive. Recorded over just twelve days at Melbourne’s York Street Studios with producer Dan Luscombe and engineer Stefan Blair, the forthcoming record marks a leap forward from their early lockdown origins and 2025’s critically lauded 'Force Majeure'.
Splicing Wire-esque jagged guitars, dub-tinged bass, and proto-disco grooves, 'Zone 3' finds core members Bec Allan and James Lynch fully locked in alongside bandmates Scarlett Maloney, Jordan Oakley, and Liam Kenny. The result is a late-night record tailored for sweaty dancefloors, dimly lit clubs, and post-midnight wanderings through urban streets.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the new track, the band shared, “There is a certain kind of pressure in modern society to be vigilant about who someone is, what they stand for and if they are “your people.” But it’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s a challenge to engage positively with people who hold different values or stances, and also a celebration when you know you’ve found someone who aligns with you, whether that’s politically, socially, or personally. 'Measuring Cup' is like an invitation to get on a level together and join the clurb.”
Having racked up sold-out headline dates across Europe and supported heavyweights like Franz Ferdinand, Wednesday, and Tropical Fuck Storm, the five-piece are currently completing a sprint of Australian dates before taking their electric live performance across the UK and Europe.
Stream ‘Measuring Cup’ on all major streaming platforms now and pre-order 'Zone 3' ahead of its February release. Be sure to follow Delivery on Instagram to catch tour updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses as the album rollout unfolds.
