Crawlers Return: New EP Announced Alongside A Defiant Single

Merseyside rock trio Crawlers have officially entered their next chapter. Following their departure from their previous label, the best-friend collective consisting of vocalist Holly Minto, guitarist Amy Woodall, and bassist Liv May have announced their signing to Nettwerk Music Group. To celebrate the new partnership, the band have revealed details of their upcoming EP, 'Turn Off The TV', arriving on August 14.

Listeners can get their first taste of this rejuvenated era right now via the powerful new single, 'Afraid To Die'. Serving as the opening track for the project, the song acts as an intense emotional release, using heavy percussion and sharp guitar work to explore the mental weight of surviving trauma in modern times.

Vocalist Holly Minto explains that the track stems from a dark period of deep isolation, reflecting on "pushing yourself away to a point where you no longer have the natural human experience of fearing death." However, the song ultimately stands as a fierce celebration of survival.

“I was living extremely recklessly because I felt like I didn't care anymore. I'd gotten so used to this feeling of grief and pain, but then I went on a great run one morning, and then Amy showed me how to make this really good porridge, and then Liv asked if we were gonna grab some drinks later,” Holly shares. “I realised I'd hate to die because that would mean I wouldn't get more of this. It felt good to start the EP by changing my mind.”

This resilient outlook defines 'Turn Off The TV'. Rather than letting industry hurdles fracture them after the success of their 2024 debut 'The Mess We Seem To Make', the group stripped their sound back to its core. The band initially shaped these songs during a 2024 writing retreat in Wales before headlining Whitewood Studios in Liverpool alongside producer Iain Berryman. To capture a raw, urgent energy, the trio performed the entire EP live in the room together before tracking it.

Ultimately, the new music is fueled by the group's dedication to their listeners. "We don’t just want to be a band, we want to be a community," notes Holly. Reflecting on the artwork and fan letters adorning their rehearsal space, Liv adds that "the fans have always been the centre of everything we do."

You can stream 'Afraid To Die' now on all major music platforms and pre-save 'Turn Off The TV' ahead of its August release. Be sure to follow Crawlers on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for the latest tour updates and behind-the-scenes content.
