Ocie Elliott Announce Their Imminent Return to Australian Shores

There is a specific kind of magic that happens when two voices don’t just sing together, but breathe together. For Canadian duo Ocie Elliott, that vocal shorthand has become a signature, turning quiet rooms into sacred spaces. After a three-year hiatus, Jon Middleton and Sierra Lundy are finally making their way back to Australia for a 2026 tour that is already proving to be one of the summer’s hottest tickets.

The momentum is undeniable. With shows in Newcastle and Barwon Heads already at capacity, and the original Byron Bay date snapped up in a flash, the duo have just added a second night at The Northern on Saturday, 31 January. It’s a testament to a rise that feels entirely organic, built on the back of hushed masterpieces like 2019’s 'We Fall In' and the cinematic 2020 follow-up 'In That Room'. While 2023’s 'We Know The Night' EP saw them exploring the interplay of light and shadow, their latest single, ‘Feeling Fine’, offers a beautiful, bittersweet look at the life they’ve chosen.

"This song is about life on the road—the blur of cities, borrowed beds, the whiplash of performing and parting, purpose and impermanence," the duo explains. "It’s about never staying long enough to belong, but finding comfort in resigning to the disorientation, and reckoning with the inevitable goodbye that comes with every hello. The song could be a first dance, or a last, and carries a melancholy but uplifting rhythm that begins in every ending."

That sense of "purpose and impermanence" is exactly what makes their live show so magnetic. Adding to the evening’s depth is national support Garrett Kato. A masterful storyteller in his own right, Kato’s warm, textured production and platinum-certified songwriting provide the perfect bridge into Ocie Elliott’s world.

As they prepare to swap the Canadian winter for our coastal heat, the pair are clearly ready to soak it all in. “Australia, after nearly three years away, we finally get to return! We are more than excited to perform in your beautiful country again and enjoy your delicious coffee, beaches and açaí bowls. And of course, to be back in the same space as all of you. See you in summer 2026.“

With Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne tickets going fast, now is the time to move. These aren’t just gigs; they are rooms built for listening, and you won’t want to be the one standing outside.
