Austin-based artist Marc Biala has always been an unusual blend of professional empathy and uninhibited musical expression. By day, he’s a psychiatric and transgender specialist, delving into the complexities of identity and emotion. By night, he channels that profound understanding of the human condition into an eclectic, genre-fluid sound. Following the loss of his brother, music became Marc’s therapeutic language, and his catalogue—a fusion of pop, R&B, Latin urban, and electronic elements—is marked by a rare and refreshing emotional honesty. His latest single, ‘Glitchy + Bitchy,’ sees him trade deep introspection for pure, glorious, dancefloor catharsis.
