From Vulnerability to Victory: PANIA Comes to Terms with Stardom

R&B sensation PANIA has dropped her new EP, 'Coming 2 Terms', a five-track journey of self-discovery that cements her position at the forefront of the Australian music scene. Released via Say Less and Warner Music Australia, the project is a poignant reflection on the personal shifts that come with an accelerating career, charting what PANIA describes as "the four stages of coming to terms with everything."

The EP, which includes previously released singles 'Pretty Girl Fly', 'Pity Party', and 'Switch Sides', delves into the complexities of friendships and personal growth amidst a backdrop of professional success. Her lyrics are a masterclass in honest introspection, as she explores the often-painful process of moving on while holding onto a sense of gratitude for the past. "My goal from the start has always been to make people feel less alone through my music," PANIA explains. "Music has been my way of processing everything I've felt in life, and I want listeners all over the world to feel that connection too."

The emotional centrepiece of the EP is the title track, 'Coming 2 Terms', a soulful R&B ballad that showcases a vulnerable side of the artist. The song is a "singing in the rain" moment for PANIA, a soft yet heartfelt conclusion to a chapter. On the track, she muses, "No matter how badly someone has done me, at the end of the night when I lie in bed, I still remember the good times over the bad. I hope it's the same for them. I wanted to end on a peaceful note, with gratitude for the lessons and growth."

To celebrate the release, PANIA is heading out on her 'Coming 2 Terms' headline tour in October, with dates in Sydney and Melbourne, the latter of which is yet to be announced. Fans are sure to be excited for these intimate shows, following her recent high-profile support slots for global artists like Kehlani, RAYE, Givēon, and Anees, and her unforgettable two-night performance with Coldplay in Melbourne last year. This December, PANIA will also be a special guest for New Zealand's biggest band, SIX60, as they play a landmark show at the iconic Sydney Opera House steps.

PANIA's rise has been nothing short of meteoric. Her unique sound and clever lyricism have garnered acclaim from a wide range of publications, from Vogue to Rolling Stone, and her influence extends beyond music, with major fashion campaigns and a billboard in New York City's Times Square. With two back-to-back ARIA nominations under her belt, PANIA is not just an artist to watch; she's a trailblazer for a new generation, proving that raw, honest art can resonate on a global scale.
