Tom Grennan Shares A Revival and a Reckoning on New Album

Tom Grennan is back, and he's ready to "blow people's heads off." The multi-platinum-selling artist has just unleashed his fourth studio album, 'Everywhere I Went Led Me To Where I Didn't Want To Be'. Released via Insanity Records and Sony Music Australia, the 15-track record is a state-of-the-art pop statement, showcasing the thrilling evolution of one of the UK’s most exciting talents at his creative best.

Following his 2023 UK No. 1 album, 'What Ifs & Maybes', Grennan's latest work arrives at a time of immense success, including a BRIT Billion Award for surpassing one billion UK streams. He’s also fresh off headlining Gunnersbury Park and launching his popular podcast 'You About?' with Roman Kemp. However, the album title alludes to a more challenging period in his life. “It's about my fight with a side of me I have a lot of trouble with. It’s still a daily battle,” Grennan says. “But I’ve learned how to fight all these demons and I’m mentally and physically prepared now. I’m in athlete mode.”

Despite the candid title, the album is a profoundly positive affair, brimming with self-belief and the courage to take risks. Grennan has a knack for turning his struggles into uplifting anthems, and this new collection, which includes singles like 'Full Attention', 'Higher', 'Shadowboxing', and 'Boys Don’t Cry', is no exception. It’s a record that makes you want to dance and sing, a testament to his revived spirit. “This album is about me, revived. Now I'm at a place where I DO want to be,” he asserts.

For this new sonic direction, Grennan teamed up with producer Justin Tranter, a force behind hits for Dua Lipa and Chappell Roan. Grennan found a kindred spirit in Tranter, someone who truly understood his musical vision: a blend of George Michael, Prince, and Freddie Mercury. The result is a vibrant, funky sound that feels both fresh and nostalgic.

The new album is a stunning addition to an already impressive discography. With over 1.5 million album sales and 2.5 billion streams, Grennan's success is a testament to his hard work and evolving artistry. Fans will have the chance to experience the new songs live as Grennan embarks on his biggest UK and Ireland arena tour next month, before heading to Australia in October. With two UK No. 1 albums and a string of sold-out shows under his belt, the 'Grennan '25' tour is set to be his most electrifying yet.
