Oliver Cronin Drops Captivating New Track ‘Closure’ Ahead Of Next EP

Australian pop and R&B artist Oliver Cronin has returned with his latest compelling single, ‘Closure’, released via Warner Music Australia. Serving as a crucial preview of his highly anticipated seven-track EP, ‘Lost On The Way To Paradise’, which is scheduled for release on Friday 17 July, the track highlights a noticeable shift in the songwriter's creative journey.

Built around a minimalist, stripped-back guitar arrangement and a gentle pop rhythm, the track pairs soulful vocal deliveries with an infectious, lingering chorus. The release is accompanied by a sleek official music video that visually mirrors the intimate nature of the songwriting.

Reflecting on the deeper meaning behind the song, Oliver notes:

“I wrote this song in a transitional period of my life, it’s about trying to let go from an old version of myself. Growth is natural and important but part of me has struggled with finding comfort in the new me. This is such an important track for this next era as it not only lyrically but sonically represents my growth as an artist and a human”.

Following on from previous singles ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ and ‘7500 Miles’, the upcoming collection serves as a stepping stone towards his eventual debut studio album. It marks another step forward for the musician, whose recent endeavours even stretched to walking the runway for Christian Kimber at Australian Fashion Week.

Cronin’s rise has been backed by impressive numbers, drawing over 47.6 million streams alongside a combined social media following exceeding 1.4 million. His trajectory shifted significantly following his 2022 debut EP ‘Beautiful Nightmare’, which produced the TikTok hit ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. Since securing a global partnership with Warner Records, he has consistently built momentum through projects like Halfway To Paradise and its subsequent deluxe edition, ‘Edge Of Paradise’.

Local fans can catch him live in Melbourne today, Saturday 4 July, where he is scheduled to perform for the Light To Night programme at Chadstone.

‘Closure’ is available to stream now across all major digital music platforms, and you can pre-save ‘Lost On The Way To Paradise’ ahead of its mid-July release.
