Melbourne’s indie-rock heavyweights Loose Bricks have broken a three-and-a-half-year silence with their brand-new single, 'Another Day'. The drop marks an exciting progression for the close-knit group of mates, signalling a refined direction that highlights their growth both personally and musically.
Having spent years building an impressive resume that includes headlining packed-out venues and sharing stages alongside Australian royalty like Hoodoo Gurus, Kingswood, DICE, and The Belair Lip Bombs, Loose Bricks have already racked up over 18 million streams. Their time away from the release radar has clearly allowed them space to reset and elevate their approach.
Self-produced and recorded in their home studio, 'Another Day' captures a far more cohesive, collaborative approach to their writing process. Known for channelling authentic personal experiences into memorable melodies, the quartet continue to tackle relatable themes with open honesty. Speaking on their songwriting roots and evolving process, the band shared:
“Our music pulls a lot of inspiration from real life experiences, struggles and hardship of depression and keeping the black dog at bay. Other themes focus on love and deep connection, falling in love, falling out and trying to navigate through this world as a young adult. The initial skeleton of the song is usually written by Levi on his acoustic guitar but just recently we have been in our home studio laying down ideas all together. We find that we end up having a more complete sound right from the first demo.”
The release sets the foundation for a busy period ahead. Australian fans won't have to wait long to catch the new track live, with Loose Bricks embarking on a nationwide tour this November, where they will also be giving audiences an early listen to unreleased material.
You can stream 'Another Day' now on all major platforms. Make sure to give Loose Bricks a follow on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to stay up to date with their upcoming November tour dates and upcoming releases.
