Australian pop darlings Blusher are back with a brand new single that’s set to be your next carefree anthem. The trio, comprised of Jade, Lauren, and Miranda, have just dropped 'WHATEVERWHATEVER' via Warner Music Australia, a pulsating track that effortlessly blends fresh synth-pop with a dreamy, nostalgic flair. Following on from their recent release 'RACER', which boldly ushered in a new era for the band and quickly climbed the AU Spotify Viral Chart, 'WHATEVERWHATEVER' continues Blusher's knack for crafting inescapable melodies infused with a nonchalant sense of escapism.
Speaking about their latest offering, Blusher shared: "This song is for the times when you just need to be reminded - “it’s not that deep”. We wanted to make something you can yell in your car to shake off the pressure and heaviness. We wrote this to remind ourselves that to truly be creative you have to let go.” It’s a sentiment many can relate to, offering a perfect sonic escape for those moments when life feels a little too overwhelming.
Blusher's reputation as an electrifying live act is well-established. The past year has seen them embark on a North American tour supporting Swedish hitmakers NOTD and perform at major events like the Coca-Cola Sip And Sounds Festival, alongside Halsey, Khalid, and Benson Boone, as well as Riverbeat Festival, sharing the stage with icons like Missy Elliott and The Killers. Domestically, they’ve supported acts such as Sugababes, Tove Lo, Aurora, and The Rions, while their international ventures include opening for Dadi Freyr across the UK, Europe, and North America. In the UK, they’ve graced the stages of BST Hyde Park, headlined by Kylie Minogue, and Latitude Festival, in addition to their own sold-out debut London headline show. After a successful debut headline Australian tour in December 2024, the band also recently performed at triple j’s One Night Stand in Busselton, WA, alongside Spacey Jane and others.
'WHATEVERWHATEVER' and 'RACER' signal an exciting new chapter for the group, building on the momentum of five singles released in 2024, including ‘Somebody New’ (which peaked at #47 on the airplay chart), ‘Overglow’, '24 Hours in Paris', 'Accelerator', and 'Rave Angel'. These tracks followed their well-received 2023 debut EP, 'Should We Go Dance?'.
With their discography boasting over 14 million global streams and accumulating over 430,000 Spotify monthly listeners, Blusher are clearly on a rapid ascent. Beyond the music, Blusher also recently collaborated with MECCA MAX and Warner Music Australia to introduce the Max Vol. Tubing Mascara, proving their reach extends far beyond the studio.
