Emerging from Melbourne’s punk scene, HONEY is set to make a powerful statement with her debut single, and to celebrate, she’s bringing a night of heartfelt, riotous rock. On November 28th, she’ll step onto the stage of a cosy, underground venue in Laverton, a setting she describes as "where all true punks start."
HONEY's music draws comparisons to the melodic, dramatic sounds of gothic rock and metal pioneers like Evanescence, promising a night filled with raw emotion and heavy-hitting riffs. While her debut single is set to be the main features, the setlist is a love letter to the artists who inspired her. You can expect passionate covers of Paramore, Avril Lavigne, and Evanescence, as HONEY channels the spirit of pop-punk and gothic anthems that defined a generation.
This highly-anticipated debut follows a moment that thrust the artist into the spotlight earlier this year. Back in March, HONEY joined Green Day on stage to perform their electrifying track ‘Know Your Enemy’, a moment she credits as the spark that ignited her solo career. "It's given me the confidence to begin my music journey," she explains. "I've always wanted to make music, to perform, and now I want to share it with everyone."
In a move that’s both a thank you to her supporters and an enticing exclusive, HONEY will be unveiling her new single for the audience before it's officially released on all music streaming platforms. It’s an intimate moment that reflects her mission to connect with her listeners, as she puts it, "I just want to reach people and have fun."
The night will kicks off with support from local alternative artist K*ahna, known for her mix of groovy original songs and eclectic covers. Tickets for the night are available now, with all ticket sales going directly towards the UNICEF humanitarian aid fund to provide relief for children and families in Gaza.
