It’s great to catch up with you today! When did you first start making music? Where did it all begin, and what inspired you?
“I started practicing music when I was 16. I was so inspired by bands like Ocean Alley, Sticky Fingers, and Hockey dad. I always wanted to be just like them and now I’m working towards that.”
You’ve recently dropped your debut single, ‘Old School’. Can you tell us a bit about the track and what it means to you?
“It’s groovy iconic hit song, I guess. It’s my original, and it’s about getting through stressful times. It’s also just groovy.”
You spoke about some of your early influences, were there any artists or moments that heavy inspired this single?
“Ocean Alley is band that has always inspired my musical groovy taste.”
What was your songwriting process for the single? How did it all come together?
“I just stumbled upon this chord progression, and it turned out to be perfect. After so many demos I had made.”
How would you describe the sound on your single for new listeners?
“It’s got a nostalgic, groovy vibe.”
Earlier, you touched about getting through stressful times, was there a central message you wanted to build into the single?
“Just groovy-ness and getting past stressful times.”
Looking ahead, what are your aspirations as an artist? Where do you see yourself in the next few years, both musically and personally?
“I don’t know to be honest. I do need to improve quite a lot. I have goals of making it big, but I need to be exceptionally good in order to make it. I will keep pushing forward.”
What's next after this release? Do you have any new releases or shows on the horizon?
“I have a possible gig coming up in October, a festival, but that’s about it for now. I will be releasing new music hopefully in the future.”
